News Engine already spoke again about the BMW i8. It is the German technological production model created by the brand to date. It’s a sporty hybrid that, although it may not catalog supercar, offers a very decent performance with their 362 horses and homologated consumption of only 2.1 liters. “Less nice” side is its price, which is around 140,000 euros.
This high technology that we are talking about the technical part was perfectly captured by the designers in whole body and also in the cockpit. Although not is our case, can that has lovers of them cars that think that the BMW i8 needed a image more aggressive and not so futuristic, i.e., an aesthetic more sports that do not accompany both to the type of vehicle that is in itself the BMW i8.
For that minority, the preparer German Special Customs has developed a series of modifications on the German sports hybrid. First they have completely changed the color of the body of the model, which is always offered in bright colors for a matte gray finishseries. This color has been combined with a bright blue that appears in various parts of the body, as well as the new oversized wheels and a profile very low tires.
The front, following the amendment of the preparer, boasts an image more aggressive and sporty with a big mouth on the bonnet and new forms in the bumper. Not only is more aggressive by the changes aesthetic in their forms, but because the new color gray matte helps to that aggression.
In the cabin also is have led to out some modifications although (by luck) not as sudden as in the outside. Highlights, above all, the retapizados with blue Alcantara seats in much of its surface. This color blue cobra much prominence here inside, because besides in them seats it found in the dashboard, steering wheel, grids of aeration and in some details of the doors.
We do not know if German Special Customs has also modified the mechanical part and improved performance. What is clear is that we will have lost some comfort and won stiffness curve, since the tires which we cited earlier are larger and lower profile tires mounted.
