A crossover based on the Volkswagen Golf will be shown at the Geneva Motor Show

Volkswagen T-Roc Concept

Last week we knew half of the Volkswagen Golf cycle update. Seems to be that the next objective of the giant German after the Compact is a crossover based in the Golf and lower to the Volkswagen Tiguan, that would be presented during the Next Salon of the car of Geneva, in March of 2017.

Coach advises of that this crossover supposedly based on the Volkswagen Golf, will be very related with the Volkswagen T-Roc that we saw in form of concept during 2014. In fact, they claim that it will even use the name T-Roc for this model. It will not be identical, starting because that concept used a three-door body, while Volkswagen will not dare to release a crossover with only a door on each side.

Moreover, if it is true that Volkswagen plans to launch this model, your design will be based on the known platform modular MQB and will have dimensions close to 4.2 meters long, 1.83 wide and 1.5 high; with a close to 2.64 meters wheelbase. Taking as a basis to the restyling of the Volkswagen Golf, it is likely that the design of the interior and the optional is identical to the compact, highlighting the possibility of installing a 9.2 inch with gestural control screen in the center console.

With the range mechanical occurs exactly the same. The most normal thing would be to use the same propellants to the Compact of the House. At the moment, we have only known the 1.5 TSI EVO, with one variant BlueMotion 131 HP and another 150 hp. Later it is possible to get a smaller TSI and about 105 HP, in addition to the TDI diesel being made to pray in the Volkswagen Golf. There will be changes manual and automatic, and also variants of traction front and others of traction integral.
