Unfortunately, we have to talk about the defective air bags manufactured by Takata. And is that a woman died last 30th September at the controls of your vehicle. As reported by Honda to the average Automotive News, this 50-year-old woman died when, due to an accident, your airbag is detonated. Due to defective construction of the air, this produced a few wounds on the victim which ended with his life.
The car which was driving at the time of the accident was a Honda Civic in 2001. A model was among the 313.000 Honda and Acura warned that your airbag system was defective and, in case of accident, significantly increased the risk of death. Honda had warned the owners of affected cars to stop driving it pose a “serious risk” in June.
The Japanese car company says that this version was called to review first in 2008, having mailed 20 notices to the owners of this vehicle. According to Reuters, at least 16 people have been killed by airbags defective Takata company, while at least 100 people who have been injured by this same element are known.
The NHTSA reports that nearly 70 million air bags produced by this company have been called to review and will be removed completely in 2019 in a special plan. Of these, around 11.4 million have already been withdrawn and replaced by systems that meet its function well.
While the ruling has obviously been TAKATA by producing and marketing a defective airbags, it is important to emphasize that we must heed calls to review, especially when it comes to safety devices, whether airbags, brake systems, or simply the ABS sensors.
