Baidu already has permission to test its autonomous car in the U.S.

More specifically it has been allowed its test in the State of California. With this governmental authorization the Chinese firm is a step closer to achieve its goal which is making mass of autonomous cars within five years.

Since last year 2013 Baidu is developing the technology necessary to create a concept car without a driver. Once was able to build a prototype functional could carry out its test successfully at the end of 2015 through the streets of Beijing. In these tests the company developed the technology and could reach speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour on certain routes.

To all this it must be added that Baidu has advanced to create a team of professionals dedicated specifically to develop autonomous vehicles in the United States. This new facility will be the first with this mission outside the Asian country since it has other development centers in China such as Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhencities. This Center, together with the aforementioned must be coordinated to develop necessary technology so their autonomous cars can be functional in the period of five years, as the company has set in their plans.
