If you do not remember it, last week we traveled to Vitoria to meet the factory that there own Michelin, which this year celebrates its 50 anniversary. It produces tires for passenger cars, vans and civil engineering, being one of the most important plants for the French tire company. According to tests carried out by the independent TÜV Süd in Germany, the Pilot Sport 4 S needs 33,66 meters to stop a vehicle that travels at 100 km/h on dry asphalt, being the best of the category. Its most direct competition needs 83 cm, while the third used 1.48 metres more.

By performing the same test but above surface wet and 80 km/h to 0 km/h, the new Michelin rubber used 27.73 meters of track, also being the best of the category, but respect the difference to second highest is only 10 cm. Thus, gets the European classification in the labelling with regard to braking in wet soil is concerned.

This pneumatic high performance sports has already been approved to fit to the Ferrari GTC4Lusso with 20-inch wheels; Although it is expected to reach firms performance models such as Porsche, Mercedes – AMG and BMW M.
