After months and months of speculation, rumors, teasers and some other filtration, this week finally met, at the Geneva Auto Show, the Alpine A110 to detail. His body has been able to mix three really complicated things such as the style of the original Alpine A110, a widely studied aerodynamics and also a modern aesthetic.
One of the sections with which it had more rumored in recent months was with its propeller. We knew that it would be placed between the seats and the rear axle, i.e., in central position, but we were unaware the cylinder capacity and performance. In Geneva we knew already that it will mount a 1.8 four-cylinder supercharged and that has air intake, turbo, it escapes and unit specific to the model. Just would like to hear it at full capacity by the Col de Turini. Give the play.
At the wheel of the Alpine A110 is Nicolas Lapierre, the famous French driver to win the WEC in 2016. Although the video shows a fast camera, we can hear a sound of sweet escape with a nice gurgling in withholdings. Alpine has wanted to reach the heart of the passionate rallies and, therefore, have used the Col de Turini, where disputed the Monte Carlo Rally for the recording of these passionate scenes.
The Alpine A110 is a real sports. One of those cars that is not looking for towering figures of power, but lightness. It also boasts a very low center of gravity and an enviable weight/power ratio. Weighs 1,080 kilograms, while its engine delivers 252 HP and 320 Nm. In this way, it has a power horse by each 4.3 kilos of weight. Their rivals will be the Porsche 718 Cayman as well, although to a lesser extent, the Alfa Romeo 4 c. A worth its price, which starts from 58.500 EUR for the French market.
