The Dieselgate of the Group Volkswagen is returning crazy to the sector of the automobile since is doing that all the brands and groups are designated of distort them emissions of their engines. A couple of months ago we informed you that the German KBA had pointed out to the Group Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) for having manipulated their diesel engines emissions. As I said in that moment, that allegation was not new, but put the FCA group against the ropes.
However, that is not any doubt that FCA uses devices to manipulate the emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) from their cars, Harald Wester, director technical of the group he has appeared before the Committee of inquiry of the Volkswagen case. Before the Commission, Wester, has denied the Group Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to use devices to manipulate the emissions from their engines.
The CTO of FCA has justified the possible differences between approved emissions and the real of their diesel engines based on the technical elements that allow them to use the current standard anti pollution. FCA engines using this mechanism of security IS NOT ILLEGAL, as it is collected in the regulations.
