At the Paris Motor Show , we will see the first model of the sports brand N of Hyundai. Although at the moment it will be in prototype form. The Hyundai RN30 Concept is the sports version of the recently launched Hyundai i30. It is an advancement of a productionmodel that will arrive in 2017. The aim is to gain foothold in the sport compact market, fighting against models like the Peugeot 308 GTI or the SEAT León Cupra.

This RN30 Concept will have multitude of modifications on an i30 of series. Although currently only we have the teaser that leads this news. It highlights the more aggressive body kit, with a more pronounced wheel arches or a front splitter. Behind is a rear spoiler on the ceiling or cover of the tank similar to the competition. The rear windows may be of polycarbonate to save weight.

Expected that this prototype has a configuration of engine in front-wheel drive and front position as future production vehicle. It moves therefore other prototypes like the Hyundai RM16 Concept, which was taken as a basis the Veloster and had the engine in central position. Although unfortunately still has not been made official its mechanics. It more likely is that it use a motor of gasoline turbo of four cylinders and 2.0 litres.

The power is also unknown, but is above the 250 HP. There are also rumors about a possible arrival with all-wheel drive. Albert Biermann, head of the sports division, ahead of the production model will be “affordable” and that it will be able to reach 250 km/h.
