During the year 2016 in Spain new car production returned to mark a new record. According to data from the Spanish Association of manufacturers of cars and trucks (ANFAC) for very little we approached three million units manufactured. In addition, predicted that if the year 2017 was as well the 2016 could overcome this barrier without much difficulty.
The new year has started just two months ago. At this time, according to ANFAC data, the production of new cars in our country has had a rate of 10,000 units per day. With all this, during the month of January the total production of cars in Spain has been located in the 222.395 units. If we take into account the vehicles that were produced in the same month of the previous year, we have that production has increased by 1.8 percent.
The reason for why there has been this increase is due to two factors. On the one hand we have that our domestic market continues to maintain his pace and customers are betting on models manufactured in our country. On the other hand we have the good behavior that are taking the main European markets. These countries, as we all know, receive 75 percent of the vehicles that are manufactured in our country and thanks to their good pace our factories working at full capacity.
However, from ANFAC have pointed that the European car market could mark an annual in 2017 of only 2 percent growth. This would cause that the production of cars in Spain continues to grow but at one slower pace than initially expected. However, from employers and the factories it is hoped that exports to countries outside the European Union grows, to thus reduce the dependence of the common internal market.
In January exports vehicles manufactured in our country to foreign countries has grown 5.5 percent more than for January 2016. As curious information mentioning that countries receiving higher number of vehicles in Spain are, Israel, Mexico, Poland, Switzerland, Japan, Canada, Turkey and Chile.
