One of the most important brands in question of mobility of goods and people is the Italo-Spanish Iveco. Thanks to their trucks and buses thousands of people and goods move around our planet. Therefore, aware of the importance that has in the transport sector Iveco continues to investigate and innovate in order to remain her number one brand.
For this reason, at the IAA in Hanover have presented a new truck. The problem is that this appointment has coincided in time with the Paris Show and many of its innovations have been overshadowed by the Parisian quote. However, we bring you the latest model of Iveco. The Z Truck is a new truck created with efficiency as a flag and for its development have been recorded up to twenty-nine different patents.
The most innovative of this new truck is its mechanics. It is powered by an engine of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and is capable of reaching the 460 HP and torque 2000 nm. This mechanic is coupled to a new automatic gearbox with 16 speeds. With this combination of engine and change the Z Truck is able to reach the 2,200 km of autonomy. This has been possible thanks to two LNG tanks with a total capacity of 1,200 litres.
In addition to the use of this fuel, the new Z Truck is equipped with pneumatic of low friction. The new Michelin incorporate sensors for pressure, temperature and wear. The union of both elements allows that the CO2 emissions of the new Iveco truck are almost nil.
Another feature of the new Iveco Z Truck is the technology that brings on board. Your Control Panel has become fully digital and in autonomous driving takes the center stage. Among the technologies that can be incorporated is Imaging information on the windshield as well as multitude of attendees driving. Of advance this technology, the driver would be relegated to a second plane, and only is limit to monitor to the system.
By it soon only is a prototype but with the competition that has in Volvo and the acceleration of the driving autonomous is very likely that a version of this Iveco Z Truck can get to the market with some modifications.
