Three years ago, that we could see the new generation of the Maserati Quattroporte, which replaced the previous with a new aesthetic, modern and bold. This sixth generation has triumphed over the years, with a very attractive image, which has been the taste of the buyers of the brand. But in what concerning the automotive industry, can not stop and must be ready to offer new features and changes to be always in accordance with the tastes of the buyers. For this reason, this luxurious Italian model has gone through workshops and has received a slight aesthetic change.
It is not a total change, even a change which can be if you don’t know the make and model, but provides a few small changes that give a different touch to technical level, are interesting. The first modification is perceived in the front bumper. This has been redesigned and has a black stripe mat surrounding it. The Grill has also been amended and is now more pointed and with chromed decorative elements which give a somewhat different aspect.
Also changed the skirts and the mirrors. Aerodynamics has been improved thanks to the inclusion of an “Air Shutter” regulated electronically between the front grille and the radiator. This allows air to circulate better and the cooling of the engine is improved. These changes allow the air resistance is reduced by 10%, which not only influences the speed, but also reducing the consumption.
An improved interior
Inside several important changes have been also made. Among them, we can find a central part with a 8.4-inch touch screen, which allows you to control the information and entertainment systems. In addition, it is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, so connectivity is assured at all times. It has been also incorporated a rotary control which helps to raise and lower the volume and control function.
There are two versions of the Quattroporte, depending on whether a version is more than to luxury or a sportier. The first is the GranLusso, while the sport is the GranSport. In terms of mechanics, this remains unchanged, although in certain markets the brand being a 345 HP engine, in a variant of its V6 engine.
There are three engines available for these models. The first is a block V8 Twin-Turbo 3.8 liter and 523 HP and 710 Nm maximum torque, produced by Ferrari. The second is a block V6 3.0 liters which produces 404 HP and a torque of 550 Nm. The third engine is a 3.0 diesel litres, which gives the same figures as above.
