The 720S McLaren will double the 650S aerodynamic efficiency

The arrival of the second generation of the Super Series of McLaren is already official. Soon will be revealed the successor to the 650S and little by little will know more on this model which is known internally as the ‘P14’ code. Although many now dare to say its final name will be McLaren 720S. In any case, today we show you a new teaser for this model and some details of its aerodynamics.

Because the mark of Woking says that the new copy you will have double efficiency aerodynamics than the 650S McLaren. Something that was already hard enough, but they seem to have gotten the latest technologies used. The main responsible for this improvement appears to be the Active rear spoiler that is partially in the picture. He gets a 50% more downforce and will also serve as airbrake unfolding in half a second.

Monocasco McLaren Super Series

Another major innovation will be the design of the doors. In its structure, there will be two separate air ducts, which will serve to direct air to the radiators and engine to cool and to create more aerodynamic. We could also see recently its monocoque of carbon that promised us that the new model would be lighter. The final weight will be kg 1.283, representing 18 kg less than the 650S Coupé.

Power would amount to the 720 HP (hence the name of McLaren 720S) and therefore would be quite faster than the 650S. We will leave doubts on March 7, when it will be presented in the Geneva.
