Pollution in large cities of the world is a much more serious problem than we can imagine. Many people the blame just the thousands of vehicles that daily they circulate in the center of these cities. However, it is not less true that contamination of these cities is also caused by other factors such as factories, thermal power plants that produce energy as well as other agents.
In Europe we have cities such as Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid and London that they suffer from this serious problem. In all them already is taking measures to limit the impact of the pollution, however in some are more restrictive that in others. In this case, has been London which has surprised half the world announcing the imposition to the vehicles diesel of an English daily so they can access the Centre of the city rate .
The pollution rate has been called T-Charge and its driver has been the Mayor of London. According to Sadiq Khan it is something necessary to limit entry to the center of the city of the most polluting cars and help to promote the use of public transport. Its entry into force has announced it will be in October of this year and the amount they will pay the owners of such vehicles will be hovering around 40 euros a day.
However, the T-Charge will not apply every day or every hour. According to declared responsible for the city of London only it will be in force from Monday to Friday between 7:00 hours of the morning and 18:00 hours in the afternoon. Outside of these hours and on weekends the owners with vehicles classified as highly polluting can move freely by the central areas of London.
This measure seeks to drastically reduce pollution for residents and workers in the central area of the city. For those who know London know that in the center of the city increasingly fewer people live, so that its scope might be reduced to a few thousands of people. However it seems to us an appropriate measure which, if it is well crafted, could help reduce the limits of particulate pollutants.
