Audi continues with the sights set in the SUV segment. In recent years these all way have given a strong push to Audi (and most brands) and as increasingly are more defendants, the German firm continues with the development of new products of high body. We recently tasted the Audi Q2, the urban SUV, and attended the presentation of the Audi Q5, its all way of medium size.
The “Q” range of Audi will soon add two new products, such as the Q4 Audi and Audi Q8. The first, the Q8 will arrive as the top range of the family SUV and an aesthetic of large SUV coupé. This car will begin their manufacture in Bratislava (Slovakia) in the next year 2018. A year later it will start production of the new Q4 in the factory of Audi in Gyor, Hungary.
The Audi Q4, has announced us the four rings brand, will be a SUV coupé; probably with a more dynamic and sporty than the newly cited Q8 silhouette. Q4 will be positioned between the Q3 and Q5. Although it has not been confirmed by the brand, it would be logical to take as a basis the Q5, obtaining a width and a length of the bodywork similar to those of this model.
The vast majority of automotive firms are betting on the SUV segment; something normal, since it is the segment with the highest growth in Europe. However, the premium manufacturers have not been just there and have opened a new struggle that, at the moment, seems to work very well. We refer to the SUV coupé, that were born with the BMW X 6 and rear X 4. Mercedes would join later and soon will come the Audi brand.
“We will integrate two completely new models to our range Q within the network of existing, current production which will increase our competitiveness in an important segment,” says Hubert Waltl, Director of production and logistics of Audi.
