Shortly before end of the year saw the restyling that received the Volkswagen Golf. Slight cosmetic changes, although their favorable point was the introduction of a greater set of technological systems as well as the arrival of a new engine 1.5 TSI which will replace the current 1.4. Soon we will see to the Volkswagen Golf 2017 by our streets, knowing also that the versions GTI will be available with powers of 230 CV in the Golf GTI “normal” and 245 in the GTI Performance.
Despite the fact that this restyling will come to the European market over the next few weeks, Volkswagen already it is working on the next generation, which will be the Volkswagen Golf VIII. This eighth generation of the King of the compact expected will be released to end of 2019 or principles of 2020. There is still much for these dates, but everything seems to indicate that the following Volkswagen Golf GTI will not be powered by a single engine.
Volkswagen Golf GTI 2017
They say from coach, the legendary Golf GTI version came in the year 2020 with a hybrid propulsion system. On the side of the internal combustion engine, the compact German could continue to use the well-known 2.0 TSI petrol, although the supercharger would by an electric compressor. This engine of gasoline would be complemented by a System electrical of 48 volt, and can reach allegedly some figures of power that will range them 270 CV. Moreover, it would continue using the MQB platform, although conveniently adapted for alternative fuel vehicles.
If cited by coach is confirmed, the Volkswagen Golf GTI VIII would greatly increase the power and torque of the version that will reach our dealers in a few weeks. In addition, the hybrid system also would reduce significantly the consumption and emission figures contaminants. Basically could say that we find to a Volkswagen Golf GTE much more benefits that the current, although it normal would be that kept them iconic acronym GTI.
