After the staging of the Alfa Romeo Giulia, which we have tested recently, the Italian brand presented its second model for the “revival” of the company. Called Alfa Romeo Stelvio, is a rear-wheel drive SUV, and shares platform with the aforementioned sedan. At the start of their marketing was a special called “First Edition” version with engine 2.0 turbo petrol and 280 HP combined with automatic changeover and the Q4 four-wheel.
From today, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio with two new versions can already apply for mechanical that just landed to the range. On the one hand we have the 2.2 engine 180 HP diesel and on the other the 2 litre turbo petrol with 200 HP. Both variants mechanical joining the 2.0 Turbo with 280 HP and the 2.2 petrol diesel 210 CV that were already available.
2.2 180 HP diesel
This engine develops the aforementioned power of 180 HP, in addition to a torque of 450 Nm available from 1,750 rpm. It has the latest generation of injection system MultiJet II, as well as a turbo variale with electric drive geometry that reduces the response time, i.e., the “lag”. Another curiosity is that this turbo incorporates a rotational speed sensor.
This version is associated with change 8-speed automatic and sends all his energy to the rear train. This variant is capable of doing 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h. Meanwhile, its homologated consumption is of 4.7 l / 100 km.
2.0 turbo petrol 200 HP
Like diesel, this petrol mechanics is built in aluminum. Combined with the wheel drive Q4 and with automatic change of 8 relations. It has the MultiAir valves control system and a direct injection that is able to spray fuel into the cylinder at a pressure of 200 bar. It delivered 200 HP and a torque of 330 Nm available from 1,750 rpm. It can do 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and roll to a top speed of 215 km/h.
