Jarama Classic 2017 thrilled 20,000 spectators

One of the most important events which are held at the Jarama circuit RACE is the Classic Jarama. This is the Second Edition and, as in the previous one, gathered around 200 sporting old vehicles with lots of history behind them. The value of some of them came to exceed EUR 2 million. Much material to make vibrate more than 20,000 spectators who attended the Madrid route during the three days of competition.

The good automotive environment, organized activities and the good weather did, for many, this unforgettable weekend. Do not think that as ancient vehicles of high economic value were “de paseo” since some of them, were able to tap the 280 km/h maximum speed and get 1 minute and 26 seconds the lap-time. Of the 30 cars arrived to medium speeds over 100 km/h.

On the other hand, as you know, the Circuito del Jarama celebrates its 50th anniversary in the year 2017. One of the more emotional actions that were carried out during this weekend was the presentation, for the first time, of the film “50 years history in the making”. A video of 22 minutes which made Skip tears from more than one amateur veteran, also putting the beautiful Punta and instilling a passion for motor racing children who witnessed it.

The second edition of the Classic Jarama has surpassed the previous one, both cars level the activities carried out on the circuit. Already announced it I a few days ago, is one quote more than recommended. This type of event they come very well to all fans of this fascinating world of the engine, since, as they say, “create school”. We hope that events of this type are most common and increasingly will improve for the sake of our passion.
