Tesla Model S

Car brand’s most fashionable in the last few months is, without doubt, Tesla. Elon Musk’s company is becoming everything a benchmark in terms of mobility and that they approach us driving 100% autonomousdriving systems. Their vehicles are not cheap, but are the cars of the most advanced in the field of sustainable mobility. However, are such exclusive products and technology does not prevent that failures do not occur.

Today we have known a massive call to review for 53,000 units of the Model S Tesla and Tesla Model X. All of them have been manufactured between February and October of last year 2016. And no, the reason for your call to review not has nothing to do with its Charter functions nor with the electric drive system. The fault is on the parking brake.

Tesla Model X

Mark American of Elon Musk has released a statement which explains the reason for the call to review. “The electric parking brakes installed on the Model S and Model X built between February and October 2016 vehicles may contain a small gear that could have been manufactured improperly by our supplier.” The automotive brand, wants its customers to remain calm, saying that the appeal held by excess of caution. Tesla has also stated that there has been no accident by this problem.

Apparently, the ruling specifically comes from a small gear that may be damaged. When this happens, the only thing that would happen is that the parking brake system could not unlock, by what the vehicle would be immobilized. Tesla says that this problem has nothing to do with the main braking system of the vehicle, to reassure its customers.

Lastly, the brand has customers that “soon we will send you a notice of call official mail, which will include information on how to replace your brakes“.
